![]() ![]() Mark was born on Novemin Kimball, Wisconsin the son of the now late Waino and Sylvia (Kilponen) Makela. "Mark Wayne Makela, 71, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Decemafter a long battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his father Jerry Ehlers and his brothers Jeff (Barb Holschbach) and Jon (Kim Stauber). He was fortunate to be able to travel to Germany and to Botswana in Southern Africa. Joe was skilled with a chainsaw and cut much firewood. He was very talented at carpentry and built a large bridge over a stream, a deer blind in two huge cedar trees, an ice fishing shack, extensive shelving, and an area to store firewood. ![]() This resulted in some wonderful bluegills and bass to eat. Joe spent many mornings in the early summer fishing with his dad on Jerry's pond. He had two very large gardens from which much produce was grown and eaten, given away, or canned. Joe's life was about the things he loved: gardening, canning, fishing, hunting, building things, and photography. He graduated from Preble High School and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in Engineering. He was born August 29, 1963, to Jerry and Janice (Grottke) Ehlers. Joe Ehlers, 60, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Online condolences may be expressed at net. Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Thursday at the church with the Rev. The family will receive relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 1 to 3 PM Thursday, July 13, 2023. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Nancy Peters a sister, Nancy Peters three children, Perry (Shelly), Eric (Carly), Amy and four grandchildren, Sam, Isaiah, Lita, and Jayden. Larry lived his life in service of the Lord. He and Nancy celebrated a blessed 50 years of marriage this summer. Larry's hard work and kindness were infectious. He then worked as a custodian at the Abrams School for 30 years where he loved working with the students and staff to keep them smiling. The enjoyment of working with his hands, as he built a house for his parents, led him to start his own business as a contractor for the next 10 years. ![]() Larry farmed with his parents until he was 28 years old. He married the love of his life, Nancy Robertson, on June 9, 1973. ![]() Lawrence was born Jin Green Bay to the late Arnold and Marguerite (Dahlin) Peters. Peters, 79, of Abrams, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, Jat Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay.
